Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Center for Psychiatric Genetics seeks a Post-Doc Research Fellow to lead NIH-funded projects focused on iPSC-derived neurons and brain organoids. You will report to a Professor at the University of Chicago and work on cutting-edge neurogenomics research.

Full-time position with benefits. Responsibilities include independent work, manuscript preparation, and developing fellowship proposals, with a focus on neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disease models.

Qualifications

• Education: PhD or MD required in a science field.
• Experience: Background in Molecular/Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, or functional Genomics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead in NIH funded projects.
• Work independently under supervision of the PI.
• Prepare scientific manuscripts for publication.
• Develop scientific proposals to apply for fellowships.
• Identify issues that may affect experiments or reporting and take corrective action.
• Assist in submission of research applications, revisions, and progress reports.
