Job summary

Endeavor Health Research Institute, affiliated with the University of Chicago, seeks a self-motivated Post-Doc Research Fellow to lead NIH-funded projects in psychiatric genetics. The role focuses on iPSC-derived neurons and brain organoids to study neuropsychiatric disorders, under a PI/Supervisor who is a University of Chicago professor.

The successful candidate will lead organoid modeling, single-cell analyses, and CRISPR-based perturbations, reporting to the PI.

Qualifications

• Education: PhD or MD required in a science field.
• Experience: Background in Molecular/Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, or functional Genomics preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead in NIH funded projects and related research activities.
• Work independently under supervision of the PI.
• Prepare scientific manuscripts for publication.
• Develop scientific proposals to apply for fellowships.
• Identify problems that may affect experiments and report corrective actions.
• Follow IRB and local, state, and federal research regulations; assist in submission of research applications.
