Endeavor Health’s Center for Psychiatric Genetics in Evanston, IL seeks a self-motivated Post-Doc Research Fellow to lead NIH-funded projects using patient-specific iPSC-derived neurons and brain organoids to study neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. The role reports to a University of Chicago professor and involves collaboration across genomic analyses and manuscript preparation.

The position is full-time, onsite, with NIH-guided salary ranges and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD required in a science field.
• Background in Molecular/Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, or functional Genomics preferred.
• Experience with neuroscience research, especially iPSC culture and organoid differentiation is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead in NIH funded projects.
• Work independently under supervision of the PI.
• Prepare scientific manuscripts for publication.
• Develop scientific proposals to apply for fellowships.
• Identify problems that may affect experiments or reporting and take corrective action.
• Comply with NorthShore University HealthSystem research guidelines and IRB regulations.
• Assist in submission of research applications, revisions, and progress reports.
