Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Network Support Specialist to plan, develop, test, and support network and telephony systems across the organization. The role requires hands-on work with LAN/WAN, servers, and security, plus coordination with the CIO and IT staff.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in IT networking, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience with computers and high comfort level using computer, network and security technologies.
• High school graduate with up to eighteen months of specialized training in computer technology and networking; certifications such as Network+, A+, Security+ encouraged.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail oriented and well organized.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Windows and Linux desktops, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, test, modify, document, support, network and telephony related systems.
• Maintain, monitor and support all network servers, backup and monitoring services.
• Provide user support and after-hours support for the network infrastructure.
• Lead and assist in projects, communicate with OIT staff and management, and stay current with technology.
