Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. seeks a diligent IT professional to manage and maintain our organization’s IT infrastructure, including network systems, server environments, and helpdesk support.

The role emphasizes proactive system management and problem solving in a dynamic environment. You will oversee wired/wireless networks, AD, DHCP/DNS, file servers, and cybersecurity, with on-call responsibilities to prevent downtime and ensure reliable operations across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Network administration: 4 years (Required).
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and cybersecurity concepts.
• Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide wired and wireless network management and monitoring.
• Maintain and update network infrastructure components, including devices, servers, UPS, server rooms, and cabling per site.
• Provide internet service and control/monitor web activities.
• Maintain MS Active Directory domain infrastructure, DHCP service, DNS service, file server, SFTP server, DHCP, and Static IP Support SXM and Delta Testers.
• Maintain and configure Windows update and antivirus systems.
• Respond to urgent network alerts during business hours and off-hours with on-call schedule to minimize downtime.
• Support phone system and IP phone (Cisco IP phone Call Manager).
• Provide daily user management and helpdesk support.
• Provide data backup and restore support.
• Prepare to learn new IT-related functions under management guidelines (AD deployment, asset deployment, firewall/camera systems, patching, Linux tester support).
• Report and elevate issues to IT manager; participate in IT meetings.

This role involves overseeing network systems, server environments, and providing essential support to ensure the seamless operation of our technological resources. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to system management.

Responsibilities

• Provide wired and wireless network management and monitoring.
• Maintain and update network infrastructure components, including network devices, servers, UPS, server rooms, and cabling per site.
• Provide internet service and control/monitor web activities.
• Maintain MS Active Directory domain infrastructure, DHCP service, DNS service, file server, SFTP (FTP) server, DHCP, and Static IP Support SXM and Delta Testers.
• Maintain and configure Windows update and antivirus systems.
• Respond to urgent network alerts during business hours and off-hours, with a pre-assigned on-call schedule, to prevent and minimize downtime.
• Support phone system and IP phone (Cisco IP phone Call Manager).
• Provide daily user management and helpdesk support.
• Provide data backup and restore support.
• Prepare to learn and take on new and emerging IT-related job functions under management's guidelines, including but not limited to: Workstation Active Directory Deployment, distributing new laptops and PCs, Firewall and Camera Systems, Production Work Stations Security Patching, Linux Tester Support.
• Report and elevate issues to the IT manager in a timely manner. Participate in IT meetings/discussions to update project/ticket/assignment status.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft OS, Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2012 and beyond, MS Office suites, and Microsoft 365 client.
• Good understanding/experience of network infrastructure.
• Good understanding/experience of cybersecurity and related tools, firewall concepts, Cisco, Fortinet FortiGate, FortiClient, Symantec.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Knowledge of Client ProLiant servers, Client desktop, laptop, network printer/scanner/copier.
• Proven ability to function independently and multi-task.
• Proficiency in managing and configuring Windows Server environments.
• Experience with network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with IP telephony systems, preferably Cisco Call Manager.
• Knowledge of data backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
