Job summary

The South Carolina State Accident Fund, the leading workers’ compensation insurer for state agencies, seeks a Network Technician II to join its IT team. You'll assist in analyzing needs, plan solutions, and maintain core server and network services including AD, Exchange, DNS, and VPN.

You will contribute to security, patching, and disaster recovery, while documenting processes and supporting IT operations in a hybrid work environment. An associate degree and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Windows server and Windows desktop OS, Microsoft 365, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO.
• Familiarity with server hardware, software upgrades, and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist with analyzing business needs and assessing technical feasibility; participate in planning and estimation.
• Prepare user documentation and manuals.
• Manage server hardware, software, and security; perform upgrades and monitor environment (AD, Exchange, anti-virus, patching, SQL, GPO, DNS, VMs, VPN, Firewalls).
• Support project work, implement patching, hardening, and updates to server/desktop images.
• Configure systems to adhere to IT policies and standards.
• Assist with backup and disaster recovery systems.
