Job summary

Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas is seeking a Network Technician II to provide intermediate-level support for the Tribe’s network infrastructure. You will install, configure, and maintain switches, routers, wireless APs, firewalls, and cabling under the direction of the Network and Cybersecurity Administrator and IT Systems and Operations Manager.

You will monitor network health, apply firmware updates and security patches, assist Network Technician I, and help update documentation and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of hands-on experience in network administration or related IT work.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve network hardware and connectivity issues.
• Experience with switches, routers, wireless, and structured cabling.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, and maintains network hardware with limited supervision.
• Monitors network health, diagnoses outages, and escalates complex issues.
• Updates documentation, SOPs, and maintains asset inventory.
• Mentors Network Technician I and supports IT staff as needed.
• Provides on-site support for wired and wireless connectivity issues.
