Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a Network Engineer II to install, configure, operate, and maintain WAN/LAN and wireless networks, and to manage switches, routers, firewalls, controllers and load balancers to support core services.

This position requires on-call availability, a Bachelor's degree with 4 years' related IT experience, and strong knowledge of data centers, security, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; four (4) years of related work experience with WANs/LANs and associated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates a Data Center; manages cabinet, cabling, and power configurations.
• Serves as technical lead on projects; gathers requirements, researches network solutions, and coordinates deployment.
• Implements, maintains, and operates data protection and disaster recovery; ensures backups and security monitoring; updates network environments.
