Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Network / System Engineer III for a 11-month contract in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on data analytics, executive reporting, and KPI development across engineering teams to deliver actionable insights to leadership.

The ideal candidate will quantify organizational effectiveness, collect and publish metrics for senior management, and develop reports that evolve visibility toward optimization. Proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, Python, and Jira is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data analytics or MBA/Master's equivalency.

Job Description

We are seeking a Network / System Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data analytics, executive reporting, and KPI development across engineering organizations and a proven ability to analyze large datasets, normalize metrics, and deliver actionable insights to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Quantify and measure organizational effectiveness for Application Production Services Engineering.
• Collect, normalize, and publish key metrics for consumption by senior management.
• Develop reporting that evolves from current-state visibility to optimization insights.
• Craft clear, data-driven narratives that articulate value and recommendations to Senior Leadership and CIO partners.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for advanced analysis and reporting.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Salesforce Tableau for dashboarding and visualization.
• Skills in Python or data modeling languages for data transformation and normalization.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for metric extraction and workflow insights.
• Strong critical thinking and the ability to communicate across organizational levels.
• 2+ years in data analytics or MBA/Master's equivalency.

Preferred Skills

• Experience defining KPIs and OKRs for engineering or production services teams.
• Background in executive-ready presentation development and stakeholder alignment.
