Responsibilities

This Net/Sys Admin III position involves organizing, installing, and supporting government computer systems, including LANs, WANs, intranets, and data communication systems. It includes designing network models, participating in hardware/software upgrades, and providing technical support to users. The role supports activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting DoD agencies, including SCI and SAP activities.

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating under minimal supervision
• Managing day-to-day systems and network operations
• Managing security and performance metrics using COTS & GOTS products
• Following O&M checklists and developing SOPs
• Using monitoring tools and SIEMs to create alarms and reports
• Analyzing cybersecurity tools and processes for technical risk
• Participating in incident response teams
• Working with platforms like Windows Server, RHEL, Hyper-V, VMWare, and security tools like SEIMs, Nessus, and others

Qualifications

Required Experience:

• Minimum 7 years relevant experience
• Thorough knowledge of Windows, RHEL, Exchange, and hardware
• Knowledge of Cisco networking, virtualization, LAN/WAN, and data backup technologies
• Understanding of COMSEC policies, Risk Management Framework, and security assessments
• Experience with PL2 and PL3 network environments
• Customer support experience and industry standards knowledge
• Experience with patch deployment methodologies and DoD policies

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years)

Certifications:

• Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M requirements for IAM Level III or IA Architect/Engineer Level I within 6 months of hire

Clearance:

• Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Eligibility for SAP access
• Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph
