We are a multinational company based in Washington, seeking an experienced Network and Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of network infrastructure and security protocols. As this is a contract position, we require someone who is able to work independently and can adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
2. Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls
3. Ensure the security of all network systems by implementing appropriate security measures
4. Conduct regular backups of data and perform disaster recovery procedures when necessary
5. Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and implement system upgrades or changes

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Network and Systems Administrator
3. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP
