Due to our continued growth, we are hiring for a Network and Systems Engineer at M3 USA.

Job Description

The Network and Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing our local and wide area networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware, and be capable of managing all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs for M3 USA employees and their subsidiaries. The engineer will possess and maintain expertise in these platforms, utilizing that knowledge to inform and inspire customers, coworkers, and strategic partners on innovative solutions to meet business requirements. This is an exempt position requiring flexibility in hours and locations to support operational needs, and the use of independent judgment in decision-making in line with M3 directives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance and Upgrades: Install and configure software and hardware. Perform updates and upgrades to ensure performance and security.
  • Network Administration: Manage network servers and tools. Set up accounts and workstations, ensuring security through proper configurations and monitoring.
  • Network Management: Monitor network performance, ensure system availability, conduct performance tests, and implement system upgrades.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues. Follow outage procedures and participate in after-hours support.
  • Security Management: Implement security measures, monitor certificates, and ensure compliance.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop procedures, ensure regular backups, and test recovery processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of systems and network configurations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Ensure system reliability and optimize performance.
  • Collaboration: Work with IT team and other departments to plan and implement projects.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in IT projects, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • VoIP and Telephony Management: Oversee telephony systems, manage vendor relationships, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Video Conferencing Solutions: Support and troubleshoot video conferencing tools.
  • Load Balancer Management: Maintain load balancers for network traffic distribution.
  • Cloud: Assist with cloud platform maintenance such as AWS and Azure.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel 20-30% to M3 USA sites.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years supporting enterprise LAN/WAN networks, including VOIP, VPN, Windows, and Linux servers.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCIE, CCNP, or Network+ preferred.
  • Experience with Linux, PowerShell, scripting, Active Directory/Azure AD, OpenStack, AWS, Azure.
  • Strong networking knowledge and security framework experience preferred.
