Job summary
Mountwest Community & Technical College is seeking a Network Support Technician to assist with the maintenance, operation, and support of the college’s wired and wireless network infrastructure. The role provides technical assistance in troubleshooting connectivity, supporting network equipment, and ensuring reliable access to technology resources across the campus.
Under the IT Director, you will help with hardware/software troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and support for classroom
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in IT/networking or related field.
- Experience troubleshooting connectivity and end-user tech-support.
- Foundational knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for network connectivity and internet access.
- Install, configure, and maintain switches, access points, cabling, and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN issues.
- Monitor network availability and document configurations and procedures.
- Assist with firmware updates, backups, and disaster recovery testing.
- Maintain network documentation and security practices.
