Network Sales Engineer

A top-tier leader in intelligent network infrastructure is seeking a dynamic and technically adept Network Sales Engineer to spearhead client engagement across telecom, remote site monitoring, and next-gen networking. This is a pivotal role on a lean, high-impact team, offering direct influence over product deployment and client experience, all while being tied to a quota that’s already been surpassed this year.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys real hands-on work, and excels at translating technical complexity into value for enterprise clients. If you’re a customer-facing engineer with strong electrical and networking fundamentals, looking to grow with a high-visibility team making an impact on major telecom carriers, this opportunity was built for you.

This Role Offers:

  • Join a purpose-built team driving modernization across legacy and next-gen telecom infrastructure.
  • Gain direct exposure to cutting-edge edge hardware systems used by tier-one carriers.
  • Enjoy autonomy, high-impact work, and a path to grow into leadership within a supportive, revenue-backed environment.
  • Be part of a high-performing sales org already ahead of its goals for the year.

Focus:

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on intelligent network management and edge solutions across diverse customer environments.
  • Lead customer integration projects, including site preparation, hands-on installations, and post-sales technical validation.
  • Conduct both remote and on-site training for client engineers and partner field teams.
  • Respond to and resolve field application challenges, acting as the voice of the customer in Engineering and Product meetings.
  • Participate in solution design, technical RFP responses, and Proof-of-Concept deployments.
  • Drive device interoperability testing and maintain field documentation for repeatable, scalable deployment success.
  • Provide technical escalation support and partner with internal Engineering to troubleshoot, replicate, and resolve system issues.
  • Track customer feature requests and assist in roadmap prioritization.
  • Support field testing of new integrations and collaborate in the validation of firmware updates and configuration templates.

Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred; associate-level or equivalent technical training accepted with field experience.
  • 3+ years of direct experience with telecom or remote infrastructure installation, troubleshooting, and system commissioning.
  • Hands-on knowledge of device protocols such as MODBUS, SNMP, MQTT, SMPP, RADIUS, or similar.
  • Familiarity with network architectures including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs (IPSEC/OpenVPN), and serial interfaces (RS232, RS485).
  • Proficiency with command line tools (e.g., PuTTY) and protocol sniffers.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills, including experience presenting technical solutions to executive-level audiences.
  • Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel up to 50% as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Telecom carrier experience (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, Frontier) or previous titles such as Equipment Engineer or Network Assurance Engineer.
  • Exposure to Cisco-style hardware, fiber/broadband deployments, or hybrid wireless systems (4G/5G).
  • Experience working with First Office Application (FOA) environments and supporting field escalations.
  • Strong time management, process ownership, and comfort working independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • PMP certification or Visio diagramming skills are a plus.
