Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Network Operator to support NORAD at Cheyenne Mountain Complex, CO. The role involves monitoring system performance, troubleshooting networks, and managing COMSEC obligations onsite at CMSFC. Daily cryptographic loads and ITW/AA support are core duties.

Qualified candidates will have active Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility, 6+ months related experience, and a CompTIA Security+ certification. Onsite work, with occasional travel, is expected.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret w/ SCI eligibility is required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Experience with OSI, TCP/IP, and multiple layer-2 protocols is expected.
• Experience with Radius and TACACS is required.
• Experience with Juniper and RedHat Linux is preferred.
• Experience with data center/long-haul transport, serial interfaces, and fiber is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system, trunk, circuit, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate and assist in troubleshooting, isolating, repairing, and correcting network issues.
• Create and update outage tickets and shift logs.
• Brief leadership on circuit/equipment status when needed.
• Perform daily cryptographic loads and COMSEC paperwork.
• Analyze problems and perform fault diagnosis and system recovery.
• Handle COMSEC materials daily.
• Apply electronics and network principles in daily tasks.
