Job summary

Range is seeking a Data Network Technician in Sheridan, Wyoming. Under supervision, the DNT administers, maintains, installs, tests, troubleshoots, and monitors networks and systems to ensure top quality service for Range and its customers.

You will support other departments with technology needs, coordinate equipment provisioning, manage switches and wireless networks, and monitor alarms and performance. Travel to client sites is expected as necessary.

Qualifications

• 2-year associate degree in IT, Networking or Telecommunications.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in complex data network functions.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data network equipment and perform provisioning.
• Troubleshoot network issues and dispatch as needed.
• Support staff and customers with hardware setup and software issues.
• Plan upgrades and capacity needs for budget planning.
• Maintain layer 2 switches and wireless networks.
• Test broadband speeds and support service orders.
• Read Design Layout Records (DLRs) as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
