Job summary

Peraton seeks an IT Specialist to support the SITEC-3 program in Coronado, CA. This role focuses on administering network and communications systems, providing Tier 1–2 support, and maintaining DoD network operations around the globe 24x7x365.

The ideal candidate has DoD IT experience, a TS/SCI-eligible clearance, CCNA certification, and strong WAN/LAN expertise. Responsibilities include configuring routers/switches, VPNs, asset management, and end-user support.

Qualifications

• BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience OR PhD with 3 years of experience
• OR HS with 12 years of experience OR AA with 10 years of experience
• Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance
• DoW 8140 under the Work Role Code 411 - Technical Support Specialist - Intermediate level or higher
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Prior experience Implementing network security access
• Prior experience with Virtual Local Area Network

Responsibilities

• Providing installation, tuning, testing, operating, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break/fix, defense, and management of WAN and LAN routing and switching infrastructure hardware and software
• Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, installing, operating, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing LAN/WAN capabilities
• Planning, designing, engineering, configuring, operating, maintaining, defending, troubleshooting, and repairing WAN PORs
• Troubleshooting LAN/WAN voice, data, and transmission networks
• Configuring, updating, monitoring, managing, troubleshooting, and documenting routers and switches in the USSOCOM LAN/WAN networks
• Collaborating with external circuit providers to expedite restoration of circuit outages
