Peraton is seeking a Network Technician to support Tier II escalated troubleshooting and remote diagnostics in Washington, DC. You will help optimize LAN/WAN performance, analyze networks, and implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 solutions while coordinating with Tier III engineers.

The role requires a current TS/SCI clearance, DoD experience, and DoD 8140/8570 IAT II familiarity, plus Cisco/Juniper expertise. A Bachelor’s in IT and 2+ years of related work are expected.

Qualificações

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Must be able to work shift schedule (Panama) supporting 24/7 operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field with 2+ years of related experience; four years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II.
• CompTIA Network+ certification.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper devices, VLANs, VPNs, LAN/WAN technologies, and/or routing & switching.
• Operational experience with local and wide area network infrastructures including routers, firewalls, switches, servers.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate LAN/WAN performance and bottlenecks.
• Perform network management services for operation, performance, and availability.
• Ensure overall performance and availability of networks.
• Provide LAN/WAN support with network analysis, integration, and tuning.
• Analyze client LANs/WANs; identify problems and implement reconfigurations and new hardware.
• Implement networking technologies and Layer 2/3 concepts.
