Job Description
Link Solutions is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to join our team at Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation in Orlando, FL.
- Must be a US Citizen
- DoD Secret Clearance required
- Non-remote (relocation incentive available)
The
Network Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the US Army’s PEO STRI in Orlando, FL. This role involves managing and maintaining computer networks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Government information assets. Additionally, the Administrator will help protect national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain overall responsibility for the Network delivery team.
- Provide daily supervision and direction to personnel across Network Team.
- Provide Tier II-III network/desktop support.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems, including monitoring the network and servers for problems, diagnosing problems, and taking the appropriate corrective measures to ensure an expedient resolution.
- Install, administer, support, and maintain server hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems.
- Experience with Juniper, Cisco, and Aruba networking equipment.
- Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes.
- Assist in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
- Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures.
- Support the development and delivery of training sessions to ensure staff understand network resources.

Qualifications
- US Citizen
- DoD Secret Clearance
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.).
- Eight (8+) years of relevant experience or BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related IT field with six (6+) years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Juniper, Cisco, and Aruba networking equipment.
Preferred:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts.
- Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA-Junos) or equivalent.
- Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in VMWare NSX or CISCO VXLAN.
- Knowledgeable in creating a PPS (Ports, protocols, & services) request.
- Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Team leader seeking growth into supervisory responsibility/experience.
