Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to join our team at the Program Executive Office Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation in Orlando, FL.

• Must be a US Citizen
• DoD Secret Clearance required

The Network Operations Specialist will support the US Army’s PEO STRI in Orlando, FL. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining computer networks to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of government information assets. The role involves protecting national security while working on innovative projects with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Network delivery team.
• Supervise and direct personnel across the Network Team daily.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, monitor network and servers, diagnose problems, and implement corrective actions.
• Install, support, and maintain server hardware, peripherals, software, and operating systems.
• Work with Juniper, Cisco, and Aruba networking equipment.
• Review network utilization data for capacity planning.
• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
• Support staff training on network resources.

Qualifications

• IAT Level II Certification or higher per DoD 8570/8140 (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
• At least 8+ years of relevant experience or a BA/BS degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Juniper, Cisco, and Aruba networking equipment.

Preferred:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Juniper Networks Certified Associate (JNCIA-Junos) or equivalent.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems and VIP users.
• Knowledge of VMWare NSX or CISCO VXLAN.
• Experience creating PPS (Ports, Protocols, & Services) requests.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Leadership skills with an interest in supervisory growth.
