Job summary

H2O America is seeking a mid-level Network Operations Engineer to design, implement, and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, monitor performance, and configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and cloud networking components.

The role requires strong communication, project management skills, and a commitment to cybersecurity ethics. Some travel to remote sites and occasional on-call evenings/weekends are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in network engineering.
• Strong understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, etc.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper or equivalent equipment.
• Experience with network monitoring and security tools.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and manages LAN/WAN infrastructure and services.
• Performs advanced troubleshooting for Tier II/III tickets and resolves complex issues.
• Analyzes network performance and suggests improvements.
• Configures and monitors routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking.
• Maintains documentation of network systems and procedures.
• Travels to remote sites for on-site support.
• Mentors junior team members and supports cybersecurity practices.
