Job summary

Meta is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to support the ENS Foundation NetOps team. You will work with hyperscale data center cabling, fiber connectivity, and IP networking to back field repair services and improve operational reliability across a dynamic network.

You will collaborate with vendors, design/engineering, and internal teams to drive scalable changes, improve data center designs, and deliver measurable outcomes across global sites. International travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years operating, deploying, and designing large-scale network infrastructure.
• 4+ years of network operations experience in data center, service provider, or enterprise networks.
• Hands-on experience with optical/network test gear and related tools.
• Ability to engage with vendors globally and translate issues into actionable requirements.
• Experience troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents across edge, cached, and network infrastructure.
• Identify security and business continuity issues and implement changes.
• Drive operational efficiency through policy and process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal customers to align network designs with needs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and roadmaps for global sites.
• Design processes to identify and manage data and asset protection risks.
• Ensure documentation and data quality in operational systems.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to resolve Tier-1 faults.
