Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Network Operations professional in Chicago to provide 24x7 support for the global production network.

Responsibilities include incident and problem management, operational readiness for new services, change coordination with Engineering, and ongoing network analysis and vendor coordination. The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 3+ years experience or 6+ years in lieu, plus certifications like JNCIS or CCNP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree. 3+ years of relevant experience or 6+ years in lieu of education.
• Certification at or above Juniper JNCIS preferred; Cisco CCNP acceptable.
• Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, TE).
• Solid TCP/IP, Layer 2/3 switching knowledge.
• Multicast troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills; team-oriented work.
• Willing to work weekends/off-hours.

Responsibilities

• Incident Management: proactive monitoring to avoid outages; fault isolation.
• Problem Management: develop root cause analyses and procedures to speed recovery.
• Operational Readiness for new services: complete deployment checklists and ensure support readiness.
• Change Management: coordinate CAB changes and QA reviews with Engineering.
• Service Requests and Maintenance: execute analysis/support; coordinate vendor activities.
• Process Improvement: own initiatives to improve operations.
