The GVTC Foundation seeks a Network Operations Engineer to provide frontline support for GVTC’s network and ensure reliable service for 40,000+ customers in Texas.
You will monitor, troubleshoot, provision, and document network changes, participate in incident and change management, and collaborate with Network Engineering on new features.
This role requires 24x7 availability to resolve outages and help meet SLAs, with opportunities for training and growth within a performance-based company.
The primary responsibility of the Network Operations Engineer is to provide Network Engineer support to the Network Operations team to ensure the successful and reliable operation of GVTC’s network. This position provides top-level support for Network Operations core competencies including but not limited to surveillance, maintenance, troubleshooting, provisioning, backups, upgrades, SLAs, documentation, incident management, and change management. Requirements of the job include 24x7 availability to assist the Network Operations team with resolving network outages and supporting SLAs for applicable customers. Additional responsibilities include frequent interactions with Network Engineering to test and implement new features and systems in support of GVTC’s future growth opportunities. Also provides training for the Network Operations Center and other departments when applicable.
