Job summary

Merit Network is seeking a Network Services Technical Implementation Liaison to oversee end-to-end delivery of Internet and WAN services. You will bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, coordinating requirements, scheduling, testing, and handoffs in a hybrid, full-time role in Michigan.

During a 6-month probation, you must work on-site at least 3 days/week at the Ann Arbor office, with a minimum 2 days/week thereafter.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years coordinating technical implementations, service deliveries, or network projects.
  • Working knowledge of WAN/Internet circuits, carrier turn-ups, demarcation/hand-off points, basic routing/switching, and testing.
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into implementation plans, schedules, and stakeholder communications.
  • Proven project coordination skills across multiple workstreams and dependencies.
  • Strong documentation skills and experience with ticketing/collaboration tools.
  • Ability to manage vendor/provider relationships and escalations.

Responsibilities

  • Translate client requirements into technical specifications for network teams.
  • Coordinate installation, configuration, and testing of networking solutions with proper documentation.
  • Manage carrier turn-ups, delivery milestones, test plans, and outage communications.
  • Lead delivery of network implementations and upgrades across Internet/WAN.
  • Own implementation outcomes: scheduling, milestones, change windows, risk management, stakeholder updates, handoff.
  • Act as first-line technical support during implementation.
  • Support testing and acceptance processes.
  • Track and manage quotes and installation charges for third-party providers.
  • Assist in report development and internal cost analysis.
