Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Network Engineering leader to oversee data center, backbone/edge, and cloud networking. The role drives reliability, security, performance, and cost outcomes with budget accountability and collaboration with executive leadership.

You may lead a mixed team of Network Engineers and Network Hardware Engineers to coordinate lifecycle planning, sourcing, and deployment of routers, switches, optics, and cabling at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale network infrastructure programs.
• Proven ability to drive strategy, budgets, and cross-org alignment.

Responsibilities

• Defines multi-year network architecture for fabrics, backbone/edge, IPv6-first adoption.
• Establishes enterprise blueprints for cloud networking and inter-cloud connectivity.
• Defines zero-trust, encryption and DDoS/WAF posture standards.
• Governs network-as-code, IaC, GitOps, and policy-as-code initiatives.
• Sets SLI/SLO governance and observability across regions and data centers.
• Leads executive communications for high-severity incidents and cross-org learning.
• Chairs architecture and change councils; drives continuous improvement and documentation.
