Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and secure scalable enterprise networks for government-grade projects. You will work with Product Management and Engineering to translate requirements into reliable network solutions.

Candidates should have a BS in CS or related field, 2+ years in network engineering, and hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewall administration, and cloud networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years of experience in network engineering or IT technical roles.
• Working knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall administration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust or Security Clearance.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall and security platforms (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco).
• Experience with SD-WAN and ZTNA architectures.
• Familiarity with scripting (Python, Ansible) to streamline config and monitoring.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, Direct Connect).
• Exposure to SIEM/IDS/IPS and network monitoring tools (Splunk, Wireshark).
• Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CompTIA Network+/Security+).

Responsibilities

• Implement and administer network solutions that meet customer requirements and SLAs.
• Define requirements and high-level design with Product Management and Engineering for network systems.
• Monitor and enforce network security controls.
• Manage network availability and performance to support defined SLAs.
• Evaluate network hardware and software solutions per industry standards.
• Manage and monitor firewall products and access control policies.
• Participate in routine network maintenance and change-management processes.
• Install and monitor operation of the organization's enterprise network.
• Coordinate with developers, operators, vendors, customers on network issues.
• Assist in defining future network architecture to increase capacity and scale.
