Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, resilient network infrastructures within a complex enterprise environment. This role focuses on protecting critical systems, sensitive data, and customer-facing platforms against evolving cyber threats while ensuring high availability, performance, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of risk management, governance, and large-scale network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage secure network architectures across data centers, cloud environments, and hybrid infrastructures
• Implement and maintain network security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, DDoS protection, and network segmentation
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to network security events and incidents, partnering with SOC and incident response teams
• Conduct network security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and remediation planning
• Support secure connectivity for enterprise applications, third-party integrations, and remote access solutions
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and identity teams to embed security into network design and change processes
• Develop and maintain network security standards, patterns, and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements
• Participate in architecture reviews, risk assessments, and threat modeling exercises
• Support audits, examinations, and security testing activities as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering with a strong emphasis on security
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑grade firewalls and network security platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, Fortinet)
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, load balancing, and network segmentation
• Experience with VPN technologies (site‑to‑site, client‑based, SSL/IPSec)
• Familiarity with network monitoring, logging, and SIEM integrations
• Experience operating in highly regulated or large‑scale enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience securing cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of zero trust networking concepts and microsegmentation
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or SOX
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or equivalent
