Job summary

August Schell Enterprises Inc. seeks a senior network engineer to join a high-performing SAFe agile team supporting a nationally significant program.

You will configure servers, routers, and security across Windows/Linux, VMware, and multi-vendor equipment, ensuring robust monitoring, deployment, and operation of mission-critical networks. The role emphasizes planning, implementing, and documenting network designs, providing technical leadership, and coordinating with enterprise IT and service

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with extensive relevant experience.
In-depth knowledge of network architecture, design, and implementation.
Expertise in routing and switching technologies.
Experience with routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, ISIS.
Proficiency in network automation and documentation.
Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of SD-WAN and security considerations.
Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
Experience creating technical documentation and implementation plans.

Responsibilities

Plan and design network components to ensure resources for monitoring and management.
Engineer solutions to expand capacity and improve response time.
Monitor mission-critical networks and servers for performance and reliability.
Set up and maintain security management across internal and customer systems.
Provide network administration support for development, deployment, and remediation.
Collaborate with IT service provider teams to meet requirements.
Plan, design, and implement IT enhancements including servers, storage, and network components.
Identify and correct hardware/software issues on servers, clients, and networks.
Develop upgrade/enhancement plans and document changes.
Provide written and verbal status reports to leadership and review boards.
