Job summary

Sierra Nevada Company, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer II to advance network engineering capabilities in a corporate environment. You will implement LAN/WAN/VPN, document configurations, and troubleshoot escalated issues while supporting security controls and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, mentor junior staff, and stay current with networking technologies. This role may require hybrid work and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years in a network role; 6+ years if no degree.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and security practices.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN implementations.

Responsibilities

• Implement complex network solutions (LAN/WAN/VPN/Wireless).
• Document network architecture and configurations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
• Provide tier-2 support for network incidents and requests.
• Monitor network performance and optimize efficiency.
• Ensure security measures and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct knowledge sharing.
