Job summary

Iridium Communications Inc is seeking a Network Engineer II to support the Network Infrastructure team in maintaining Mission, Commercial, and Enterprise networks. You will perform installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of networking hardware and security devices in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2+ years of LAN/WAN experience, Cisco/Nexus and Fortinet familiarity, and proficiency with routing protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or 2+ years of related LAN/WAN experience.
• Hands-on experience with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn Iridium IT policies and procedures.
• On-call availability and occasional travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center infrastructure including Cisco Catalyst/Nexus and Fortinet firewalls.
• Provide real-time troubleshooting and issue analysis to the team.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networking hardware and OS.
• Research network products, services, and standards to stay current.
• Develop and maintain IT diagrams and procedures.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support as needed.
