Job summary

Iridium in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Network Engineer II to maintain data center infrastructure, troubleshoot issues in real time, and support 24/7 on-call operations. This role requires strong routing protocol knowledge and hands-on Cisco/Fortinet experience.

The position is hybrid (4 days in-office) with opportunity for professional growth, a US citizen, and travel 1–2 times per year. Base pay ranges from $75k to $100k USD per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field or 2+ years of LAN/WAN network experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and common tech like STP, VRF, VTP, VSS.
• Strong customer service orientation and analytical problem solving.
• Willingness to learn Iridium IT policies and procedures, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships with leadership and colleagues; proactive in self-improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data center infrastructure including switches, routers, and firewalls (Cisco and Fortinet).
• Provide real-time troubleshooting and present analyses to the team as needed.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networking and security hardware and OS.
• Research network products and standards to stay current on industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain IT documents (diagrams, procedures).
• Provide 24/7 on-call assistance as needed.
