Job summary

KU Information Technology is seeking an IT Network Engineer to provide operations, engineering, and support for the university's enterprise network environment. You will work with network architects, engineers, and IT leadership to maintain reliable, scalable services across campus.

The role covers deployment, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and daily operations of switching, routing, wireless, firewalls, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and monitoring tools. Hybrid work is available with on-site duties.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of relevant professional experience in enterprise networking or IT infrastructure.
Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, or supporting network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless, firewalls, or related infrastructure.
Strong communication skills demonstrated through application materials.

Responsibilities

Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, service requests, and assigned project tasks.
Support enterprise switching, routing, wireless, firewall, and related network services.
Assist with installation, configuration, testing, validation, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
