Job summary

FiberLight in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking a Network Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure on site. You will work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of the network, gaining exposure to routing protocols, network automation, and Layer 2 technologies.

This role emphasizes hands-on configuration, documentation, and mentoring of junior engineers, with CCNP and hands-on Cisco/Juniper

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant networking or telecom experience.
• Strong experience with BGP, OSPF, and IS-IS routing.
• Proficiency in Python and Ansible for network automation.
• Experience with GitHub for version control.
• Solid Layer 2 knowledge including MPLS and EVPL.
• CCNP or related certifications are a plus.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper equipment.
• Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).

As a Network Engineer II, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining FiberLight’s network infrastructure, working collaboratively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. You will ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our network while gaining exposure to advanced routing protocols, network automation, and Layer 2 technologies. This role provides opportunities to take on increasing responsibility in telecommunications engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructures.

• Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python and Ansible.

• Experience working with remote Technicians on site
