Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking an IT Network Engineer to establish and maintain network performance for all UMC network and equipment at the main hospital and campus locations in Texas.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco networks, VOIP, and network security, plus ITIL certification and a related field certification. You will collaborate with hospital leaders and TTUHSC network personnel and support a broad IT enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• +4 years of experience supporting, maintaining, and managing large scale ethernet cabling or enterprise networks.
• ITIL Certification + 1 field certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation and maintenance for VOIP solutions, network switches, wireless access points, routers, network firewalls, and network access control policies.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate networking issues companywide.
• Coordinate project elements related to upgrades and enhancements to existing systems.
• Create, maintain, and update firewall policies.
• Perform other duties as delegated by IT Enterprise Network Manager.
