Job summary

The position requires five years of networking experience, strong TCP/IP expertise, and hands-on management of LAN/WAN/WLAN, voice/video integrations, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; significant experience can substitute for degree.
• Minimum of five years' experience in networking with progressive responsibilities and project management.
• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networks, routers, switches, VLANs, VPNs, copper/fiber Ethernet, wireless networks, firewall architecture, and bandwidth management.
• Experience with data center networking, systems automation and orchestration, cloud networking environments, and software-defined networking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, research, and implement network improvements, upgrades, and repairs for the university's network infrastructure.
• Provide hands-on support, maintenance, performance monitoring, and optimization of LAN/WAN/WLAN and related systems.
• Design, install, and manage network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and WiFi infrastructure.
