Job summary

College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA is seeking a Network Administrator to provide hands-on support, deployment, and troubleshooting of the campus network. The role partners with the Senior Network Engineer to keep wired and wireless services reliable and secure across the campus.

The successful candidate will maintain network operations, develop SOPs, and collaborate with Information Security and other ITS teams while pursuing Aruba/Cisco certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, test, validate, and maintain Network Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor the Network ticket queue and perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Install, configure, maintain, and replace Aruba switching and wireless infrastructure.
• Deploy, onboard, and troubleshoot wireless access points and related infrastructure.
• Perform switch provisioning, firmware updates, module replacements, and hardware lifecycle activities.
• Maintain and organize network data closets, including cable management and documentation.
• Assist with network modernization projects including switch refreshes and wireless upgrades.
• Develop knowledge of Aruba ClearPass and assist with administration and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with vendors, MSPs, and ITS teams to coordinate operational activities.
• Contribute to security investigations by reviewing logs and firewall data.
• Participate in after-hours maintenance and on-site events as needed.
