Title: Network Engineer (On-site from Day One) | Location: Ocoee, FL | Duration: Long-Term

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with Layer 2/3 routing protocols and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Deployment and management of routers and switches.
• Experience with Private, Public, and Hybrid Cloud infrastructures such as AWS and Azure.
• 5 to 7 years of experience with Unix (RedHat), Windows, VMWare, and other platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage Layer 2 and 3 protocols, including routers and switches, ensuring data throughput and monitoring network activity to mitigate performance issues.
• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot connectivity across various network environments including campus, roadside, backbone, LAN, and third-party networks.
• Review and optimize network architecture and design, including failover capabilities.
• Implement and oversee network security measures, including access controls and disaster recovery, ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
• Create dashboards using SolarWinds to monitor network infrastructure proactively.
• Deploy patches and updates to network devices.
• Support cloud architecture design focusing on capacity, failover, stability, and security.
• Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of network infrastructure.
• Assist with cybersecurity investigations and evidence preservation.
• Ensure compliance with standards like NIST and organizational policies.

Education

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
