The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) program, providing Networking and Tier 3 support to the DHS Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) biometric system. Responsibilities include providing ongoing cloud network support, addressing availability issues, resolving network performance problems, supporting customer tickets within JIRA and ServiceNow, and system incident troubleshooting. The candidate will interact closely with the government customer to achieve system objectives and provide updates. On-call support is required approximately 4-6 times a year for a week at a time.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing, installing, maintaining, and coordinating network systems in an AWS environment.
2. Evaluating hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for large, complex networks.
3. Providing data and information for troubleshooting and resolving network outages, congestion, or issues.
4. Managing network performance, diagnosing problems, and tuning to meet SLA requirements.
5. Providing network engineering expertise to resolve operational issues.
6. Reporting on network performance, issues, and improvement plans.
7. Training users, managing user accounts, and maintaining network diagrams and security plans.
8. Implementing and coordinating network policies, procedures, and standards.
9. Supporting the deployment of new technologies, including hardware, software, and security products.
10. Developing, documenting, and enforcing network technology policies.
11. Supporting Active Directory/LDAP, certificate services, group policy, and security compliance.
12. Working independently and in teams to meet project objectives.
13. Providing on-call support approximately 4-6 weeks per year.

Qualifications:

Required:

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government agency clearance (DHS EOD).
• 5 years of relevant IT experience.
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-based network services and monitoring tools.
• Experience with AWS or AWS GovCloud.
• Solid knowledge of RHEL, Windows, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and open-source technologies.

Desired:

• Experience transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Linux, scripting, VMware, OpenShift.
• Network & Security Certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, SSCP, GSEC, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, CISSP, AWS certifications).
• Experience with JIRA, DevOps, Agile methodologies, RedHat OpenShift, and Microsoft Visio.

Program Technologies:

Pay Range:

The salary range for this position is $57,500 - $117,900, influenced by factors such as location, experience, skills, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, and education support. Since the position may be in multiple locations, this range is a national average.
