Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer to join a National Security Contract with 100% remote presence. The Cloud Network Engineer will focus on multi-cloud solutions and secure network infrastructure. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting cloud networks across platforms. The Cloud Network Engineer should have hands-on experience in cloud networking, security best practices, automation, and identity access management, ensuring high availability and resilience.

Responsibilities of the Cloud Network Engineer include:

• Design and manage cloud networks across platforms like Azure and OCT, ensuring security, scalability, and performance
• Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco VPN concentrators, and Cisco CSR routers
• Implement network security best practices, including firewall policies, VPN encryption, and identity access management (IAM)
• Automate network performance, conduct troubleshooting, and ensure high availability of cloud services
• Monitor network performance, conduct troubleshooting, and ensure high availability of cloud services
• Maintain compliance with security regulations, including DOD STIGs and vulnerability management standards
• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to optimize cloud networking configurations and resolve infrastructure issues
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, responding to network incidents and ensuring business continuity

Qualifications of the Cloud Network Engineer include:

• Bachelor's Degree & 4+ years of experience OR Master's Degree & 2+ years of experience
• Experience with Terraform, AWS Security Group
• Experience with Cloud or On-Prem Devices such as Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
• Technical knowledge of TCP/IP networks & standards (IEEE 802.1); DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NAT and SSL
• Experience with EKS Cluster
• Working knowledge of DOD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
• Experience configuring & troubleshooting Cisco IPsec (AES 256), Firewall, IPS, route-maps, and NACLs
• Active Public Trust Clearance

Compensation for the Cloud Network Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $80,000-90,000 depending on experience
• Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, Holidays, PTO, sick leave as required by law
