As the Project BOCKSCAR Network Engineer, you will:
Serve as the focal point for network enhancement and certification
Ensure seamless operation and strategic upgrades of the BOCKSCAR network
Lead mobile device management services, integrating applications, researching new technology, and setting up mission-critical devices
Be the key decision-maker responsible for approvals and upgrades to the BOCKSCAR network and Electronic Flight Bag program
Provide technical recommendations that directly support warfighters
Your Impact:
Maintain and control the BOCKSCAR network and all associated equipment
Manage mobile electronic devices for more than 3,200 Air Force personnel
Plan upgrades for the BOCKSCAR network and Electronic Flight Bag program
Collaborate with key Air Force teams including 55 OG STAN/EVAL, 55 WG Innovations Team, and 55 CG
Keep leadership, aircrews, and contractors informed of critical system updates
Develop technical documents, network maps, and reports that drive mission success
Conduct network and mobile device testing, issue resolution, and recovery
Deliver essential briefings and updates to senior military stakeholders
What's Required:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience with waiver) and 6+ years of relevant experience
Secret Clearance required
3+ years of hands-on experience
Expertise in Apple iOS, OSX, and Air Force publications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Self-starter with an innovative problem-solving mindset
Strong communicator—comfortable briefing senior leadership
Preferred Skills That Set You Apart:
AGILE and DEVOPS experience
Deep understanding of networking architecture
Information Assurance proficiency (IATT/ATO)
Air Force Publication Operations knowledge
