Sr. Software Developer

As a Software Engineering Lead, you will provide sound technical leadership for the development, design, and scaling of a new web application aimed at reinventing the insurance market. Your technical skills will help provide users with the best experience while keeping us competitive. You will lead and operate alongside all development efforts and personnel, both internal and external, bringing new life to our health plan organization and driving internal efficiency. Requirements
  • Create elegant solutions to complex problems.
  • Proven experience in a relevant engineering role such as E.M. or lead.
  • Understanding of budgets and business planning.
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership and organizational abilities.
  • At least 5 years' experience in SaaS or similar fast-paced environments.
  • At least 3 years' experience in insurance or financial technology (preferred).
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or graduate degree a plus.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and Sprint practices.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS, Google, etc.) and Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Version Control (Git), database architecture, user-story mapping, and leading code reviews.
  • Ability to manage a growing team of engineers.
