Job Description:

CACI is seeking a Network Engineer (Senior) to provide technical expertise and leadership in managing and optimizing USSTRATCOM’s WAN routing and switching infrastructures. This role will focus on network installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity, ensuring robust connectivity and performance across the command’s IT lifecycle. Experience with DoDAF is a plus, particularly with transitioning to UAF to align with evolving DoD standards. Nettrain experience is also a plus. The work location is Omaha, Nebraska. This position is contingent upon award of the USSTRATCOM SCITLS contract.

The Opportunity:

Join CACI as a Network Engineer (Senior) to drive network engineering efforts within the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) team for USSTRATCOM. You will manage and enhance enterprise WAN networks, support cybersecurity compliance, and deliver mission-critical connectivity solutions. Experience with DoDAF, especially transitioning to UAF, and Nettrain is beneficial. The work location is Omaha, Nebraska, contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provides network installation, tuning, testing, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break/fix, defense, and management of WAN routing and switching infrastructures, including hardware and software.
  2. Configures, updates, monitors, manages, troubleshoots, and documents routers and switches in USSTRATCOM WAN networks.
  3. Supports troubleshooting of enterprise WAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluates architectural changes.
  4. Supports incident and problem management activities for Tier 3 operations per USSTRATCOM policies.
  5. Aligns technical and IT management systems engineering processes for non-standard changes.
  6. Ensures ChM process includes workflow inputs and outputs.
  7. Reviews regulations, policies, and best practices; recommends cybersecurity improvements.
  8. Maintains comprehensive network and system documentation.
  9. Functions as a technical expert in Cisco products and design, including support of Cisco infrastructure, collaboration, security, wireless, and data center.
  10. Creates and maintains network configuration, mapping, and process documentation.
  11. Possesses experience with DoDAF, netTerrain, and complex system-of-systems engineering practices.
  12. Leads major technology assignments and may supervise others.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS + 5 years relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • 8140 Certification: e.g., CEH, CFR, Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, GSEC, or equivalent degree/training.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven leadership in network engineering initiatives.

Desired:

  • Open CA Certified Architect or Master Certified Architect.
  • FEAC Blackbelt Architect.
  • AWS or Google Cloud Certified Solutions Architect (Professional).
  • OMG Certifications: UAF, UML, SysML.
  • TOGAF 9+.
  • ArchiMate 3+.
  • INCOSE ASEP or CSEP.

Pay Range:

Salary range: $65,000 - $136,500. Factors influencing salary include location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, and more. Learn more here.
