Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Network Discovery Lead to support a major modernization program for DISA and DAFA networks. The role requires overseeing a team of network engineers and analysts to perform physical and virtual discovery, and to develop detailed migration plans to the DoDNet environment.

The incumbent will mentor staff, collaborate with project managers, and drive process improvements to accelerate network discovery, analysis, and planning while ensuring secure design patterns

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 12+ years (or Master’s with 10+ years).
• Experience managing teams of engineers and mentoring across the team.
• Experience documenting logical/physical designs using drawing tools (Visio, Gliffy, Cameo, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple teams of engineers and analysts for physical and virtual discovery and migration planning.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Network Engineering Lead and Project Managers.
• Streamline discovery, analysis, and planning processes for network migrations.
• Plan and design secure network solutions to consolidate or migrate connectivity services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design architecture using standard patterns.
• Design secure WAN/overlay/COI transport to meet performance and security needs.
• Provide secure access solutions across wired/wireless technologies with implementation plans.
• Incorporate capacity planning and scaling into network/security designs.
• Investigate dataflows, ACLs, and legacy paths to enable a to-be enterprise service.
• Support IP addressing schemes across IPv4/IPv6 and ensure DoD accreditation artifacts.
