Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Network Discovery Lead to join our Defense Enclave Services team. You will oversee a team of network engineers and analysts responsible for discovery and analysis to create migration plans to DoDNet for DAFA networks.

You must be willing to commute to Fort Meade, MD for 2 days per week and hold an active DoD Secret clearance. Lead, mentor, and design secure network solutions in a complex, mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 12+ years of relevant experience or Master's with 10+ years experience.
• Experience managing teams of engineers and mentoring.
• Experience documenting designs using drawing tools (Visio, PowerPoint, Gliffy, Cameo, MagicDraw).
• Experience conducting site surveys or analyzing data from surveys.
• Experience creating or executing a migration plan for circuits, network traffic, services or data.
• Experience upgrading and maintaining network devices (LCR).
• Expertise in LAN, WAN, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Proxies, Routing (L2/L3), Firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Palo Alto, Dell, Infoblox, Brocade, Fortinet.
• Ability to design large network infrastructure and produce docs.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience presenting designs to leadership for approvals.
• Active DoD Secret clearance and IAT Level II certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple teams of engineers and analysts performing discovery and analysis for network migrations to DoDNet.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Network Engineering Lead and PMs.
• Identify process improvements to accelerate discovery, analysis, and planning.
• Plan and design secure network solutions to consolidate or migrate connectivity services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design architecture using standard patterns.
• Design secure WAN with underlay, overlay, and COI transport to meet performance and security needs.
• Provide secure access solutions across wired/wireless environments and transition plans.
• Incorporate capacity planning and scaling into overall design.
• Identify legacy service paths and design to meet requirements while balancing security and maintainability.
• Support IP addressing schemes for IPv4/IPv6 and work with IA teams for DoD accreditation artifacts.
