Job summary

Leidos is seeking a highly experienced Network Architect to lead enterprise network design and modernization across DoD networks. You will guide Zero Trust alignment, work with engineering teams, and ensure compliance with DISA RMF and program security from concept through operations.

The role requires TS/SCI eligibility, 12+ years in network engineering with 5+ in architecture, and expertise in routing, data center fabrics, and secure remote access.

Qualifications

• Clearance: US Citizenship with active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility prior to start.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience or Master's with 10+ years; higher experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III certification and professional-level networking certs (e.g., Cisco CCNP Enterprise, Juniper JNCIP).
• 12-15 years of progressive network engineering experience including 5+ years in architecture/senior design for DoD environments.
• Expert-level routing/switching (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS/L3VPN, QoS); data center fabrics (VXLAN/EVPN); campus/WAN.
• Experience with next-gen firewalls, network segmentation, secure remote access, Type 1 encryption.

Responsibilities

• Develop target-state network architectures and multi-year modernization roadmaps.
• Produce high/low-level designs for WAN, campus, data center, and cloud environments.
• Architect Zero Trust capabilities with micro-segmentation and software-defined perimeter.
• Design secure interconnections with Type 1 encryption and boundary protection.
• Ensure designs meet DISA STIGs, SRG, RMF; support ATO submissions.
• Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews; maintain design standards and naming conventions.
