Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network Deploy Technician in Chicago to scale data center network support, assist in capacity management, and drive automation for scalable network operations.

You will work with internal customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable network services and implement best practices across the AWS global infrastructure. The role requires physical readiness and the ability to travel regionally as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Experience with computer networking.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Managing work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
• Troubleshooting networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Specifying Power and Cooling requirements and ensuring Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment.
• Participating in the migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
