Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Deployment Planner to join the Global Network Delivery team. You will help plan and deliver capacity for AWS data centers, coordinating with supply chain, procurement, and engineering to align roadmaps with expansion targets.

This role requires 1+ years in networking, strong planning skills, and ability to work under pressure in fast‑moving environments. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a path to grow within AWS infrastructure

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• Experience in computer networking and hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in cramped or elevated spaces while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment).

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Design Management: Develop comprehensive 6‑8 month network implementation roadmaps aligned with AWS DC expansion targets.
• Create and optimize network position layouts and rack placement strategies for data centre floor space utilization.
• Review and contribute to High‑Level Design (HLD) documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to validate technical requirements and design specifications.
• Develop capacity‑planning models to ensure infrastructure scalability.
• Create standardized planning templates and methodologies for network implementations.
