Job summary

AWS Data Centers in Oregon seeks a Network Deployment Planner to scope and plan new capacity deployments across data center locations. You’ll work with supply chain, network engineering and PMs to ensure resources align with installation plans and schedules.

The role requires autonomy, detail orientation and strong communication. You’ll help optimize network layouts and contribute to scalable, repeatable planning processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Design Management
• Develop 6-8 months network implementation roadmaps
• Create and optimize network position layouts for data centre floor space
• Review High-Level Design (HLD) documentation
• Coordinate with engineering teams to validate requirements
• Develop capacity planning models for scalability
• Create standardized planning templates for network implementations
• Lead end-to-end project planning for multiple initiatives
• Maintain detailed project schedules, milestones and dependencies
• Manage project scope and quality parameters
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies
• Improve planning by incorporating lessons learnt
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for alignment
• Track and report weekly project progress
• Develop project inventory forecasts and requirements
• Coordinate with procurement teams for resource acquisition
• Manage vendor relationships and delivery schedules
• Stick to procurement timelines with project schedules
• Develop project management frameworks and best practices
• Maintain project documentation and reporting standards
• Drive continuous improvement in planning methodologies
• Build stakeholder communication channels
• Coordinate with regional teams for standardized planning approaches
