Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Network Deployment Planner to join our Planning and Implementation team.

You will scope interdependent capacity projects and plan deployments across multiple data center locations, coordinating with supply chain, network engineering, and project managers to ensure smooth execution. The ideal candidate has a technology background in networking, is autonomous, detail-oriented, and able to manage complex network deployments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer networking experience.
• 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
• Experience in computer networking and Linux.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to timelines.
• Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes with continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers and Technical Project Managers to ensure fast delivery of capacity.
• Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
• Familiarity with common networking terms.
• Excellent judgement and analytical skills; strong prioritization and time management.
• Coordinate design, project timeline/schedule and construction milestones.
• Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management.
